  • Minimum age is 17 years; participants must be 150–200 cm tall and fit within the provided dry suit sizes.
  • Scuba divers must hold a PADI Open Water Diver certification or equivalent and provide proof of dry suit certification or at least 10 logged dry suit dives within the past two years.
  • Participants aged 60 or older require a doctor’s approval on the Diving Medical form.
  • A medical statement and liability release form must be completed before participating.
  • Silfra’s water remains approximately 2–4°C (35–39°F) throughout the year; bring warm long underwear and thick socks.
  • Arrive at the Silfra Meeting Point at least 15 minutes before your scheduled start time. Reykjavík pickup is available with selected options.

“Best thing we did all trip! Went with my teenage son and he’s a tough customer to impress. He actually smiled (rare) and said it was “EPIC.” The water is insane blue, and the guides (we had two, both super friendly) made sure we were safe the whole time.
